The OffGrid and optional extension are manufactured from durable galvanized steel tubing that is further rust-proofed by powder coating. With its universal attachment system it mounts quickly and easily to virtually any rack system including those with round, square, factory, and aero crossbars. A custom wind fairing is included to reduce noise, making the basket an unobtrusive addition to your roof rack.
Another reason your cargo basket can remain in place is that its crossbars will accept Yakima accessories. The basket’s crossbar spacing makes it an ideal platform for Yakima boat, ski, and bike carriers. And speaking of carriers, Yakima has developed a line of accessories that enable the OffGrid to carry a spare tire, off-road lights, axes, shovels, and a Hi-Lift Jack. The Locking Bracket is another option that is available to prevent the theft of your basket from the roof rack. It locks the basket to the crossbars and includes 2 SKS lock cylinders and keys.
